I was asked to write this, but have only run in these shoes three times so it's a bit early to see. I had a friend who ran in these and when I asked him he told me they were 11oz in a size 11. That sounded good to me. It's not always easy to find out how much a shoe weighs in your particular size as the companies don't provide that (they tend to give you a size 9, then you have to figure it out) and On isn't carried in local running stores. So I went ahead and purchased only to be find out these are about 12.5 oz in my size. Not good. But I needed a new pair of shoes and since I was the one who ordered them decided to give them a try.I don't pronate much, or supinate for that matter so I can run in just about anything as long as they are comfortable. These met that test and seem pretty sturdy. I tend to get between 300-350 miles in a pair of shoes and hopefully these are in the range. The laces provided are a little thin but they stay tight. While the shoes are definitely heavier than I prefer so far I've done well in them and my last run was actually very fast (for me) indicating that despite the weight you can get a good turnover. The soles are unusual. I've never seen anything like these before but so far no issues.I'm still evaluating and it may be a few months since I rotate 3 pairs at a time, but hopefully can update this in terms of durability.First off; I no longer run. I use these for walking. I have spinal damage which affect my legs & feet (painful feet), along w/ bad knees from yrs of sports & running. I LOVE these shoes, have been wearing them for 4-5 months now and no noticeable signs of compression-still have bounce (good shock absorption). And being a very light weight shoe it affords me more time on my feet & legs than the majority of my running shoes. The toe box has more room than my Asics & Brooks, but not as much as many New Balance styles. Also my foot isn't forced onto my forefoot, which for me, is a killer on my metatarsals, spine & knees. If I had to design a near perfect shoe, I would use this shoe technology but would drop the heel just a tad bit.I would like for this company to make larger sizes in the women's shoes. It is now 11/2019; ON, PLEASE go back to this design. Even w/ the 2019 shoe(reported to be like this old one), it's still not like this older model. Please, oh please! I still have my old ones which I have glued & wear on my bad pain days.I was introduced to On shoes by an endorsement from 2013 Indianapolis Monumental Marathon winner Alana Hadley. As a five-time marathoner (albeit much, much slower), I was interested in what the "cloud" technology was all about and if it really made a difference. You can definitely feel the difference the second you put the shoes on. The clouds keep your feet from being in direct contact with the ground, which makes each step feel lighter and easier. Within weeks of owning these shoes, I started setting PRs, won my age group in a 5K for the first time in my life, and then won my age group again in the next race that I ran.Four months in, the front row of clouds are starting to get very worn down, but I also have probably run about 400 miles in them, so they are definitely getting a good work out. I will definitely be getting On shoes again and I don't think I could ever run another race without them.I was nervous about buying shoes from Amazon. If they didn't fit, I would have to send them back and still be without new shoes. Fortunately, I had an older pair and the size hadn't really changed.I am not a runner however I do a lot of walking. I walked for nearly eight hours at an amusement park and while I was tired and my knees ached, my feet still felt pretty darn good. They did change my gate a little bit. I think I overextend my left foot when striding because I could feel the heel touching before the first rounded cushion. Not a big deal but interesting to note.Took them out of box and ran 2 miles, perfect fit, I'm normally around 11-11.5 ordered 11.5, easier on the knees, good support from heel to toes, NO side to side motion, was not nearly as elevated as it looks, in fact has a lower profile then my Asics. All in all I like the color and shape, support. Not cushiony at all or at least not how it appears or one would think with the name CLOUD, The tongue did not bother me at all as one writer mentioned. Plenty of room in the toe box without being overly wide for the rest of the shoe. Also my middle toe is same size as my big toe and this shoe works great at not rubbing or hurting.Big fan of On Running after buying these. The toebox is nice an roomy, so your toes aren't all quished together. Realize that these are purpose shoes...they are for running, so they aren't as comfortable if your using them for everyday use. If you're going to want something for everyday, I'd recommend the Cloud X, which I also own (although it has a smaller toebox than the Cloudsurfer). The only thing I would say needs to improve are the laces, as they do come untied easily. Other than that, awesome purchaseAww waw waw..nothing more to ask for. Seriously I am more than happy to choose this shoes.had a knee issue and was struggling to run fast before.was skeptical at firstI tried many brands, but for me this one worked well.As the name suggests Cloud walk and run.U won't feel u wear shoes..seems this pair gives u the extra push to run.Everything seems good.except some fear for the clouds or the small suspensions in the sole. But sure planning to buy 3 pairs soon,so can relax ....I won't say this is the 100% best as it clearly depends on the personal comforts and adaptations..so Nothing wrong giving a try ...All the best guysI found ON shoes at a running shop last January. They literally took the pain away and I can exercise, walk long distances and live in these shoes. The price sucks but no more expensive than online at the ON shop online. It s worth it to me cause I am on my feet all day!!By far the comfiest pair of running shoes I've ever had. I suffer from painful knees running on tarmac, and these trainers do allow me to run for longer without any discomfort. The only downside to these shoes is that small stones get caught in between the 'clouds' however I believe this has been rectified in the new version of these trainers.I run circa 30km per week in them, and although the tread is worn slightly, they are still in very good condition and will probably see me through the rest of 2018 without compromise. When its time to upgrade i will more than likely get another pair of the On Cloudflyer.Excellent fit and very comfortable. Had x2 long runs already and I love them. Wasn't sure I would as I usually stick to Adidas Supernova for more stability but I'm pleasantly surprised how sturdy and light they feel.
